In 2005, Sue was awarded the Order of the Australian Medal for services to charity and mountaineering.
School Visits
Throughout Sue’s career she was regularly invited to speak at schools and clubs, particularly after her conquest of Mt Everest. She really enjoyed this time with young children and her experiences influenced their outlook on life in such a positive way.
